Our
Journey

Who We Are

How it all started

From humble beginnings in October 2019, Sustainability Africa has grown into an expansive community of sustainability practitioners and professionals  working towards the widespread adoption of sustainability in Africa – in all companies, at all levels of government, and in all neighbourhoods. We aim to bring together and support individuals and companies as they transition to more sustainable practices and behaviours.

What We Do

To date, our work has mainly focused on creating:

Networks: as a community, we strive to create welcoming physical and virtual spaces

to share knowledge, learn, network, and connect with others.

Conversations: we host live webinars and knowledge-sharing sessions to help individuals, companies, communities, and public sector decision-makers to formulate, enhance, and scale their ideas and solutions. We believe in respectful, inclusive, solutions-focused debate, backed by the best available evidence.

Opportunities: we share sustainability-related job postings and consulting opportunities with our members.

Awareness: our goal is to share the incredible work different organisations

and individuals are doing, and to help amplify their reach.

We are a Registered Non-Profit Company

We are registered as The Sustainability Africa Group and our Registration Number is 2019/276360/08.
